Annual Winter Camp
Each year, the Yamagawa Dojo organises the annual Winter Training Camp (Kan Geiko Gasshuku) in which all participants enjoy rigorous training in harsh conditions.
The schedule is always demanding and explores the wide range of disciplines, techniques and training methods of the Fudoshin Ryu including:
- Kenjutsu (sword combat)
- Throwing techniques (Aikio, Judo and Jujutsu)
- Grappling techniques (Aikido, Judo and Jujutsu)
- Striking techniques (Jujutsu and Karate)
- Various weapons including the Bo (staff), Jo (short stick), Tanto (knife) and many others
- Conditioning exercises
- Fitness and flexibility drills (including meditation, yoga and Fudoshin Ultimates)
- Philosophy of Martial Arts
- Disengagements
- Contesting
