Shihan Darren Ball will take participants through all of the fundamental skills in this 5-hour seminar.
From how to correctly hold the sword, variations in stances and footwork, developing power, fundamental cutting techniques, basic forms, and sword against sword techniques.
This is perfect for beginners (less than 3 years experience) or those who have an interest in learning the Japanese sword. It is open to the public as well as students and teachers from other styles.
Registration is essential as the seminar is limited to 30 participants.
Location: Combat Academy Mornington. 3/4 Torca Terrace. Mornington.
Cost: $60
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (lunch break at 12 noon for 30 minutes. Fruit and water provided.)
Equipment needed: Training uniform (if already practising Martial Arts) or loose-fitting clothing that allows movement. Bokuto (wooden sword) will be provided for those who do not already own one.
